Committed to Setting the Captives Free, in the Fear of the Lord! (Luke 4:18, Is 49:8,9, Is 11:2) |
BECOMING GOOD STEWARDS OF WHAT WE HAVE RECEIVED.
Rev 19:13 (amp) He is dressed in a robe dyed by dipping in blood, and the title by which He is called is The Word of God.
As the Holy Ghost begins to reveal Christ in us, we need a revelation of the Name of Jesus, anything you ask in my Name, is not just the name we tack onto the end of a prayer.
It is the Onoma (the Greek word for the Name of Jesus, all that Jesus is, His nature, His Character, His Authority in God), the Godhead, the Divine nature of God.
When we pray in the Name (the Onoma) of God we are standing in His Authority.
When Jesus was on the mountain the enemy in Luke 4:5 showed him all the kingdoms and said I will give it all to you if you will do homage and WORSHIP (trying to get him to speak one word contrary to himself) .
But Jesus replied get behind me Satan (fact) It is written (truth) you shall do homage and worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.
Why such an emphasis on words, they are life and death because the enemy wants the words for death, God wants to give us the words of life and life more abundantly. (John 10:10 amp)
We need to be good stewards of what we have, we have it all. in Christ, the word of the Living God.
When the beggar saw Peter and John he asked them for a gift (the enemy was exerting pressure to get them to speak contrary to the word.)
Peter said look at us (fact) Silver and Gold have I none (fact) what I have I give to you in the Name (ONOMA) of Jesus. (truth) This is what we've got the (ONOMA) the WORD. John kept his mouth closed.
Pressure will come, every minute of every day to try to take the word or get you to speak a word contrary to the word of God.
What pressure have we all had, it comes in many forms, it may be just a thought, such as what will happen if I lose my job, or perhaps the papers are reporting that there is a recession looming, will I be able to cope, will I have to start to work overtime to make ends meet?
Or maybe it is a family concern, I wonder if my son/daughter will get into College or University. If you are in business for yourself, perhaps the thought comes that you are not going to make it, you will not be successful.
Soon, from the thought we are beginning to dwell on the problem and it turns into worry.
If we allow it, the negative word will develop into manifestation and become reality in our lives.
The bible says Whoever speaks to the mountain- I look to the hills, from whence cometh my help (Psalm 48:1), why is he looking to the hills? How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, salvation.
The counterfeit is the mountain of pressure (trouble, tribulation) we must be good stewards of the word, we must begin to recognise what the enemy is doing and counter with the word. PRESS-SURE (reverse the enemies words).
When we look to the hills where God dwells, (Ps 24:2-4 amp) our help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. We take hold of God's word and reverse what the mountain of pressure, the enemy, the counterfeit is saying. Don't rehearse the enemies words, reverse them.
As the word, Christ is revealed in us, we begin to value the word more than life itself, because the Holy Spirit takes us deeper and deeper each day, we are becoming overcomers by the power of our testimony, the word.
WE ARE, IN I AM
WE ARE, IN I AM, through Christ by the Holy spirit. God does not send trouble, to teach us something.
Is 54:15 Behold they may gather together and stir up strife, but it is not from me .
Trouble does not come from God, but Jesus tells us that it will still come (John 16:23) but just because it comes, it does not have to overcome, because Jesus said I have overcome the world.
54:16 Behold I have created the destroyer, I will deal with him.
He is saying I am not trying to test you to see what you've got, whoever comes against you will fall, if you are established in righteousness. (see the section on righteousness)
Is 54:17 No weapon formed against me shall prosper. The weapon will be formed, but in Christ it shall not prosper.
?gThe earth is the LORD?fs, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it?h (Psalm 24:1)
The word, stewardship, simply means to manage someone else?fs property. For the Christian, as Scripture proclaims everything belongs to God, we manage the property of our Lord, we are stewards of the word of God.
For the word of God, is powerful, (Heb 4:12) The Holy Spirit will bring the word of God from the spirit via our reborn spirit, into our soul that is being renewed (Rom 12:2) for it to manifest by the faith of Christ into the natural world.
Everything comes from the spirit and is manifest into the natural, faith brings from the spirit and manifests all that we need into the natural.
Matt 6:33 (amp) But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
I Corinthians 4:1-2 Let a man so account of us, as ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
We are stewards of the mysteries of God, mysteries of His kingdom. Jesus said to the disciples, ?gIt has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven?h Matthew 13:11.
God has mysteries or secrets that He does not keep from us, but His secrets are laid up for us.(1 Cor 2:10 amp, Deut 29:29)
In the Bible, a mystery is a secret that God is revealing to His people. God reveals these mysteries to us by His Word, by His Spirit, through the Lord Jesus Christ.
What is the mystery Paul was talking about?
Col 1:25 (amp) In it I became a minister in accordance with the divine stewardship which was entrusted to me for you [as its object and for your benefit], to make the Word of God fully known [among you].
Col 1:26 (amp) The mystery of which was hidden for ages and generations from angels and men, but is now revealed to His holy people (the saints),
Col 1:27 (amp) To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within and among you, the Hope of [realizing the] glory.
These mysteries were first revealed to Jesus?f disciples, whom He sent out as apostles, and later to Paul. They were all stewards of these mysteries. The job of a steward is to properly distribute that which has been given into his care.
Not only were Jesus?f disciples privileged to know these mysteries, but they were also given authority and power to bring them forth, to proclaim and demonstrate them to the world.
By extension, it has likewise been given to us to be stewards of these same mysteries, for Jesus commissioned His disciples to teach us everything He taught them (Matthew 28:19-20).
As they were stewards of these mysteries toward us, we, in turn, are to be stewards of these mysteries toward others.
Paul said, ?gLet a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.?h Then he added, ?gMoreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful?h (1 Corinthians 4:2).
As stewards of the mysteries of God, we need to be faithful—that is, full of the faith of Christ. Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
If you know the Lord Jesus Christ, and are born again, you are in the privileged position of being His servant, and a steward of the mysteries of God.
If you are born again, you are a minister of Christ within you, our Hope of Glory. To find out how you can be born again, click the link below.
You have been given authority and power to reveal His glory and release His love, through bold witness, and through signs, wonders and miracles, declaring the kingdom of God.
